Transpose Functoid
Description: The Transpose Functoid is used to transform a list of items with delimiter in one field of a record to separate records. This function is particular practical when it is used to store MAC address records into one field of Service Desk in a comma separated format (automatically generated by a DM-ETL+ consolidation task) and still be able to translate the listed values to records and match any one of the records with an inventory source like a system or network inventory tool. The Transpose Functoid is also an ideal solution to create the two records that are required for related CI relationships! Simply add the literal text from and to and the records required for the two directions of the relationship exist.
Inputs with their allowed values:
- Param
- May be a single character, a string or a number with or without a separator (when the separator is found an additional record will be generated for this item. All other fields of the record will be duplicated except the field that is connected to the Transpose Functoid that contains the separator)
- Literal text entered manually
- Output of another Functoid
- Value of a Table
- Seperator
- The delimiter used to separate items in the list
